We believe that true healing comes from treating people, not their dis-eases.
Our client issues range from acute ailments to chronic conditions. Each client is an individual with unique needs and specific health concerns. Our Herbal Wellness Consultations are client-specific and focus on the whole person in order to create and support the constitutional changes that foster wellness on many levels: physical, emotional and spiritual. As herbal educators, we encourage the safe use of herbs as "food medicine" in addition to an herbal protocol, thereby allowing greater flexibility for clients’ individual needs.
Herbal Wellness Consultations are by appointment only.
We kindly request that the Health History Intake Form and the Food Diary Form both be filled out and faxed to us when you arrange your appointment, along with any recent bloodwork or test results. (Email is not secure for your personal information! Fax only please: 973.813.7402)
What to expect at your Initial Herbal Wellness Consultation:
We spend 1.5 to 2 hours getting to know you, your history and current health by delving into your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual states. You may want to bring a tablet/ iPad/ notebook or trusty old paper and pen since we often dive right into discussion and some herbal terminology may be new to you.
As an herbal practitioner, I also incorporate other 'body reading' assessments like listening to your pulse, looking at your tongue, fingernails, facial details, etc. so that I can glean more insight into your overall health in the way that your body is presenting it to me. I also have Practitioner Access to various other non-invasive tests offered by The Great Plains Laboratories should your health concern warrant further examination. These include hair, urine, stool, saliva and dried-blood spot test kits.
Overall, we devise a plan for your healing journey that may include herbal recommendations, lifestyle and/or nutrition considerations, and sometimes even spiritual work.
In a few days you will receive a detailed, written herbal protocol customized to assist you that is based on the information you provided. Since herbal protocols are specific to each individual, the cost of herbs or client-specific hand-crafted formulations are not included in the above appointment fees. Two to three weeks after the initial consultation, there will be another follow-up appointment (30-45 minutes) to review your progress.

Always keep in mind that herbalists are not doctors, so will neither diagnose nor prescribe. We will discuss options, share knowledge and help define and establish health parameters specific to your condition and we fully support and respect that you are the one ultimately in charge of your health. It is your initiative that sets the pace of your healing journey. Our discussions and my herbal recommendations provide the road-map and directions. Together we craft a plan so that you can begin to make decisive health choices and changes that are most beneficial to your wholeness.

Cost for both appointments is $150.00.

While most patients spend less than $45 per month for recommended herbs or supplements, it will depend on the depth of the health issues that are being addressed.
