This class provides a high-level review of the Five Elements and the Three Doshas of Ayurveda.
We then discuss 16 Ayurveda herbs and formulas that can be used everyday in cooking as spices and/or food, and also taken as supplements. A nourishing tea is sampled during class, as well as other Ayurveda foods used as part of a daily protocol for health. Although not Ayurvedic in nature, as an added bonus, sometimes a medicinal shatavari-based 'liqueur' is worked into this class to underscore the point that herbal remedies need not be boring! |
