"A weed is a plant whose virtue is not yet known." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Coltsfoot (Tussilago farfara)
Herb Walks (weed walks) are relaxing, insightful and.... fun! Learn which of our herbal green plant allies have chosen to live in your yard, your neighborhood or your local community park.
Many of the plants that are commonly known ~ and masquerade ~ as ‘weeds’ are really giving plant beings just waiting to be recognized and acknowledged. An herb walk will open your mind and soothe your soul by encouraging familiarity with common botanicals on a deeper level. When we see plants as teachers, we understand the abundant gifts they offer us as they share their many practical and/or medicinal gifts, including being used as food ~ all of which we discuss as we walk. And let us not forget our noble tree friends whocontribute to the unconscious feeling of being safe by lending stability and strength to our communities!
Herb walks can be tailored by season, grade level, or location, and are age-appropriate from Kindergarten through Adult.
Contact us today and let us help you get reacquainted with the herbal plants already in your yard.
Mowing your lawn might never be the same again!

Private Herb/Weed Walks:
We are happy to conduct private Herb/Weed Walks in your yard or personal property. This is a personal, hands-on session where we walk around your property identifying the medicinal and nutritive botanicals that reside with you. We will also discuss their traditional uses, ethnobotany and folklore from different traditions and cultures. A session runs from 90-120 minutes and afterwards you will receive a printable report by email containing information about the identified botanicals that we discussed.
Investment: $125
